Craftsman Home Has A New Roof Installed, Los Gatos, CA, Case Story
This beautiful craftsman home had its old 3 Tab Asphalt Shingle roof replaced with new CertainTeed Landmark Premium, color Max Def Weathered Wood. Weathered Wood is one of the most popular colors chosen in the Santa Clara Valley area from the CertainTeed Landmark Premium line.

- Old 3 tab roof worn and some composition shingles missing.

- Tear off completed. Dry rot and broken sheathing in various places was removed and replaced with new wood deck

- CertainTeed MetaLayment, (high performance Ice & Water Shield), which is self-sealing, installed in valleys and roof penetrations for added protection against leaks.

- New FibeTite KEE, single-ply membrane installed at old tar and gravel, flat roof. Existing skylight re-installed after FiberTite roof was completed.
Roof completed. Soffit vents (not shown), were installed for intake attic ventilation. Roof mounted, electric attic fan installed for attic exhaust ventilation. Fan is thermostatically controlled to automatically turn on when the heat in the attic reaches a certain temperature. Pipes have Wil-Mar Collars which are designed to prevent water from entering the living area through the pipes. Wil-Mar Collars are warranteed for the life of the roof.
